These notes summarize the training sessions organized by the ETH Cyber Group in preparation for the Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge (https://cybergroup.ch/events/cyber-9-12). The goal of the training was to equip participants with the necessary knowledge across technical, policy, practical, and soft-skill domains to effectively analyze and respond to a fictional cyber crisis scenario.
The Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge is an annual competition where student teams develop national security policy recommendations for a complex cyber incident, presenting and defending their findings before a panel of expert judges. It requires integrating technical understanding with strategic policy thinking under pressure.
